I am using this theme for two years now and I am very happy with it. Each time I have a problem or I like to ed something and I don’t know how I put my question on the InkThemes community forum and I receive an answer within 24 hours. Professional and friendly support. I bought the site two years ago and they still are helping me.

how may i change the home page language please i found that this problem is in this theme only i tried other themes but it was available to change the home page language
in this theme all pages accept other languages except the home page
and i don’t want to use another theme becuse i liked this theme extremely

Making it easy to create any site quickly and beautifully and responsive, of course.

I was extremely happy with the free version and considering to purchase de Pro Version until today that i updated the Blackbird theme (even though I was using a Child Theme) and IT DELETED ALL PHOTOS FROM THE MEDIA FILE (WTH!) so the home page is just text.

ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE!!! DELETING FILES FROM MY LIBRARY, it is not like disabling options. I WOULD NEVER purchase from them. The reason why I like wordpress is that I can use it anywhere, from any computer. Now, since I don’t have the pictures, I have to go back and find them in a particular computer again.

So, don’t waste your time. There are plenty of other great free themes. Just, be aware of these developers! Don’t buy anything from them!

This theme used to be nice. Matter of fact, if it wasn’t for this theme, I would not have heard of InkThemes. Now, after this last update, I know what InkThemes is about and have decided to stay away from InkThemes forever.

No jokes, my client was impresses on the very first draft he saw with this theme.

I lost the home page after the last update. I tried to restore it but no way. I deactivated all plugins and still no way. I can see it in my Menu but can not select it from the static page as it is not there.

Please advice.

Having worked brilliantly while I built the site, since Blackbird was updated, I’ve lost all control of the home page. The content has disappeared and it’s now impossible to return to my previous state to include all the home page features I had entered.

The editing menu exists but it simply doesn’t display the content, the images or the links that I have entered anymore. Very disappointing.

By the way, I found a neat piece of CSS code to solve the text editing problem that Philemon complains of. That works well, but what’s the point if you don’t have any of the neat features Blackbird used to offer.

DO NOT INSTALL the free version until this problem is solved.

DON’T USE THIS THEME. For all those who’ve said it’s great, upgrade your free version of Blackbird to V. 1.2.1 and see. The homepage completely disappears, and there are 10s of us who want it back. This is what I got from their support:

Actually due to recent changes in WordPress.org rules, we are not allowed to add Home Page in theme.

That is why we have to add blog page as a home page. And if you want previous home page then you have to purchase premium theme.

I used this theme in the first place because the front/home page had the ideal layout for my purposes. V1.2.1 (May 2014) gets rid of your home page entirely. InkThemes say that a new WP rule disallows the use of a home page, but WordPress insist that there is no such rule.

InkThemes tell you that the way around the loss of your homepage is to buy the Premium version of the theme from them. (Which means that there is no WordPres rule against homepages, of course). You have to wonder, would you give money to a company that screws up your website, lies about the reasons, and then suggests you to give them money to get it back?

Would a more appropriate name for this theme be Ransom?

The whole theme is a mess, creating a blog post felt so frustrating!

I had to edit the css file to create a blog post that kept the format I had inputted into the wysiwyg, luckily this worked but after this I noticed other problems such as heading2 being bigger than heading1!!

Full of too many annoyances, looking for another theme.
