I started with the free theme to test things out and as another reviewer noted, the demo importer is key to best utilize the theme. I was doing some CSS edits in a child theme and ran into some roadblocks. The forums have a lot of topics and searching doesn’t necessarily surface what you’re looking for right away. Don’t be afraid to start a topic in the forums. They responded with a suggestion (that worked) within a reasonable amount of time considering we’re in different countries…and I’m on my way again. Great theme and really easy to customize. Thanks, Themegrill!

    After reviewing and testing many WP themes, and watching many Youtube tutorials, I decided on Spacious Free. It wasn’t long and I had the confidence that it could do everything I needed, so I upgraded to Pro.

    At this point, I could not be happier. The capabilities of WP and the Spacious Pro theme are perfect. BUT what I was surprised about was the awesome service. What a relief to have a support team that not only replies quickly, but also provides an accurate solution the first time.

    With Google taking mobile friendliness into account for searches effective 21 April 2015, I switched two of my blogs over to the Spacious theme. The result: the “Awesome! This page is mobile-friendly.” message after testing the URls at https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/mobile-friendly/. This theme has everything I need as far as layouts, widgets, # of widget areas, etc. go, and I appreciate the two page width options. The one thing I recommend the developer change is the way the copyright info is handled, since I (not my blogs) own the copyrights.

    This free version is good if you don’t want to customize it much and stick to what you see. Otherwise for the $39 for the pro version, you can get better themes out there with better documentation and faster support and many more features.
