I LOVE the Custom Community theme!!! We have received so many wonderful comments on how professional and beautiful our site looks. Granted, I’ve done my own design for the look and feel, but I couldn’t have made such a well-organized and professional site without this theme. Not only does it work well with BuddyPress, we also have the BuddyPress Courseware plugin and we’re able to teach online classes in an environment that is easy on the eyes. Thank you for making this theme!!
I have never had problems with installing the plugin, customizing it or updating it. I’m not sure what caused the problems some people have had, but it wasn’t this theme. What I love best about it is the slideshow at the top, which keeps our site looking active and fresh.

while this template has a learning curve and might not be for the lighthearted or novice, I guarantee that if you are at all serious about weblogging and like to do things yourself, you will eventually want this template.

I love the customization features but most of all I know that with Buddypress pre-installed, it is easier to use for network sites. I am bout to really utilize all elements of custom community, and it is always my choice for themes whether a network site is being built or not. I just deactivate the buddypress but know its there if and when the client may need it. Sometimes the slideshow is a plus, sometimes I have had to use a different slideshow, but clients have more options with Custom Community than other themes.
