  • Flexibility By acseven, 2016-12-03 via themeforest.net For such a high quality theme, I was expecting a lot more flexibility. The apparent* lack of any wordpress hooks is unfortunate, considering that many free themes ship nowadays full of custom actions and filters. This is really bad for designers can do a bit more than just click on buttons, considering how easy it is just to add a few hooks here and there, especially in loops and critical template locations.
    The theme also shares an issue with a lot of "top" themes which is color management inconsistency and poor detail in how it's used. The color levels that are selectable in the Settings dashboard basically make up a 'try & miss' game and it's frankly messy. It also doesn't relate to the default/light/dark themes in any apparent way.
    (* - I've looked in the documentation and opened a couple of theme files and found none)

But the aspect of my purchase that really earned five stars is the customer support. In my support ticket(s), I mentioned being a bit overwhelmed by the options and technical language so they support team sent back step by step instructions with screen shots so that I could SEE exactly what they were telling me to do. Excellent support and the turnaround to my questions was about 24 hours which felt like record time. This is one very satisfied BRIDGE customer.

    We are improving theme functions with every theme release so code can render faster, but other than that we can't do much more, since many factors are on the plate when it comes to site speed. Note that our demo site are not optimized, and main purpose is to present all theme functionalities, and end users should increase performance on their own, and to to make sure that they are using reliable hosting service providers with high resources, and with fast and secure servers. Our developers, while testing, managed to optimize Bridge theme for speed, and load time to below 2 seconds.
    We couldn't find any history of your tickets on our support forum https://qode.ticksy.com so please try to get in touch with our support by submitting a tikcet so they can test your site for speed and to be able to assist you with this. We hope this can be improved and you will change this bad impression you've got.

Bridge can be a difficult theme to learn at first since it is very dynamic, but the customer support is always there to help you - 100% worth it. They can help you set up your website with Customized CSS. Whenever I feel as if I can't accomplish an effect with a website of mine, I turn to Customer Support and they somehow come up with a solution in a timely fashion. Fully recommend their support. Inexpensive, timely responses, & highly-personable help!
