Easy to use and modify theme for a simple, effective website. I like it. I just wish for one more widget-area directly underneath the menu. And the option to change the default text-color of the footer widgets and footer text in the dashboard.

Plus: On my website the title was doubled, like that “Site TitleSite Title”. In order to solve this I had to remove line 306 from the functions.php

This one:
add_filter( 'wp_title', 'birdsite_title' );

In fact, you could remove the whole “Document Title” section of the functions.php

BirdSITE is a photoblogging theme. The theme has grid layout and uses CSS3 media queries for its responsive layout and is therefore optimized for tablet pcs and smart phones. Features include the Theme Customize. You can choose the text color, link color, header line and footer background color and navigation color.

    I like it very much but I wish the archives category would also have a grid like presentation. I don’t like the list style when I look at the archives. Maybe that could be a new feature?

    One of the first nice and clean templates that are responsive and do not stretch my images. Works really well on phones and tablets and larger screens.
