I have searched a lot for a perfect magazine theme for wordpress (free themes) and could not find one till i look at colormag. Colormag has all the features, most premium themes lack. hats off.

Finding a free theme that can easily setup a news-like home page (categories one by one, slider that works on touch and doesn’t eat up all the speed of site,…). Works with WP post formats (gallery at least). All is widgetized so changes can be done very fast.
With few css tricks you can easily change what you wish to display.
Only some issues with child theme (some subfolders not working), but will investigate further.
Support is rich and frequent,

I moved a site on a restrictive wordpress theme and the comparative freedom Colormag gives with its many widgetised areas is very impressive for a free theme.
The theme has been completely stable, with no issues to speak of so far.
The support forum is again very impressive for a free wordpress theme, they are happy to provide custom CSS for specific problems and there is already a wealth of information to use.

Like others, I’ve used so many themes and spent countless hours customized them to suit my needs until I found ColorMag. This is the best free theme with excellent support from developers. Beautiful and functional design comes with great widgets. I’m so impressed!
