I thought this theme was pretty neat and useful! It suited my website well, but it wasn’t very optimisable, so I ran into some technical difficulties there. Otherwise it got the job done.

Beautiful Theme w/ Contributor-Friendly Developer!

I fell in love with Flat after I saw how clean its markup was, that it made use of Bootstrap & Font Awesome, and that it was mobile-friendly. All of these things are still true today!
I’ve since become an active contributor to the theme, which is a fantastic experience for me — the developer encourages user contributions and regularly merges them into core if they pass muster. This is what open source is all about!
I’d recommend Flat to anybody, especially as it becomes a more robust, more customizable beast of a theme.

Great theme: fast, responsive, clean.
Designers allow you to customize some of it very easily so you’ll be ready to use it out-of-the-box. You can customize some of it through custom CSS (I created a -child theme as suggested by WordPress).
Recent update to the theme taunts you to upgrade with many options you can’t customize unless you upgrade, but even the free version is excellent.
