Independent Publisher is a beautiful theme that strikes a perfect balance between simplicity and functionality.

Where many themes seem heavy and cluttered with their layouts, Independent Publisher keeps the focus on the content with plenty of room to breathe regardless of screen size.

Raam has done a masterful job in building this theme. Highly recommended!

This is the most user friendly, reader focused, clean, minimal and responsive theme I’ve ever come across. I regard this theme as a blessing to WordPress community. The theme author, Raam Dev has put in lots of effort to make this theme.

I was amazed by the support and dedication he put to make this theme.

The project started on September 7th, 2013 through GitHub . I could see this theme was very user friendly in the initial stage itself, because the development of this theme was inspired from Medium, Ghost and Publish theme.

Before the theme was available in WordPress theme directory, I downloaded it from GitHub to use on my blog because I couldn’t wait to use this theme. The support Raam Dev provided was incredible. If I’m honest, it was better than paid support.

This theme has been made with love, focus on the reader and ease of use for the writer.

I never wrote blog posts through the WordPress visual editor before, but this theme has very nice visual editor. The text I write in the visual editor looks exactly like it would in the published article. So, I write all my articles through the visual editor. In other themes, usually the text in visual editor doesn’t look similar to the published article.

More than that, the author’s also actively making plugins that go well with this theme.
There’s no better theme for single author or multi-author that I’ve come across that’s better than this.

This theme makes me excited to blog everyday.

Independent Publisher is the cleanest theme out on the market right now. Back in September, I was frantically looking for a theme that would just get it done. Raam introduced me to Independent Publisher, and I haven’t looked back.

If you want a theme that just works outside of the box, Independent Publisher is your theme.

But, if you also want a theme that you can easily customize to fit your own site’s style, Independent Publisher is your theme. There’s support for custom backgrounds, menus, featured posts, and my favorite option–support for WordPress’ various post formats in a beautiful way.

Independent Publisher is the theme of 2014. Also, Raam is still heavily invested in this project, ready and willing to answer every support query. You get premium (beyond premium!) support and design with this theme. I highly recommend at least trying out Independent Publisher and seeing how much more readable your site is.

Nice theme – usefully minimalist but solidly built and responsive across different device sizes. The cover images for single posts are striking.

The Independent Publisher theme is a thing of beauty. This theme, in my opinion, is the best theme currently available for WordPress – for any price.

I have been designing and developing for the web since 1998. As a WordPress user since 2006, I have developed several of my own themes, and modified or tweaked dozens more to make them better suit my needs. In recent years I have been increasingly drawn to clean, simple, minimalist designs (whether for WordPress or otherwise) but, as those who design will understand, designing a beautiful minimalist theme can actually be more difficult. Raam did an amazing job with this theme – so much so that I immediately switched to Independent Publisher for my own site (currently in the midst of an overhaul) and will use this theme as my “default” theme for other sites going forward. I could not be happier with the theme. In fact, I set up an account here at WordPress.org just to leave my first theme review because I am so thrilled with this theme.

You owe it to yourself to try Independent Publisher if you are considering a clean, minimalist, reader-centered design for your WordPress-powered website.
