Luminescence Lite

I’ve used most of the themes from Styled Themes, and this one was exactly what I needed for a client project. See the demo site here: http://demo.daisydesigns.ca/
I like the fact that with the supplied child theme, I was able to take the basic blog layout and convert it to what the client wants with a standard header and custom widget area for a locator. It was quite easy to implement a custom mega-menu using Uber Menu plugin, without any conflicts at all. It was very easy to customize the header.php and footer.php files, and to create custom functions and page templates. This and all Styled Themes are a theme developers dream. Awesome work. Sorry to see Andre go, but it looks like he has kept ST in good hands.

First I’d like to say thank you to the author and the developers who worked on building this theme, it’s a great theme in my opinion it’s probably one of the the best free them out if not the best!, For over a week I’ve searched high and low and have tested probably 12 themes on live host and localhost machine trying to find a suitable theme for my daughter school project. It’s seems to me like developers are adding too many bells and whistle to the newer themes and in return losing theme functionality, that’s just my opinion. I prefer themes that are sleek, clean not cluttered up, easy to navigate and most important they must functions correctly with no error displayed right out of the box, trust me I looked over this theme from top to bottom and I have to say I’m very impressed. It’s is a remarkable theme not to mention that it’ a free theme. But what really put you over the top was taking an extra 2 minutes to create and add the child theme to the zip file, when I went to place my child theme in and seen you had already handle that for us, I was impressed to say the least. Evey other theme I tested made firebug light up like Times Square on new years eve with errors.. It was driving me nuts until I located this work of art..

It took me such a long time to find a theme that I liked and when I found this I was very happy.

My only complaint would be that it doesnt have the option to have both left and right side-bars – as I have some icons that I want to add but I dont want to have to scroll to the footer to have them visible.

There might be a simple fix for this and I would love to know what it is? as I cant find anything that suits my needs as well as this.

I have worked with/edited well over fifty themes in wordpress (and blogger for that matter) and Luminescence Lite is by far THE BEST I’ve come across for ease of use. Almost everything is customizable and what isn’t, can easily be edited. For me that included some font and padding changes which isn’t much compared to other themes. And overall it’s a really elegant design.

I can’t believe I finally founded the PERFECT theme.

This is a great theme from Styled Themes, really flexible and great for a novice like me. Also the response to support questions was excellent and extremely helpful.

Luminescence Lite is a theme i really liked. Color Combo and Layout is pretty cool. I just am concerned about the lack of excerpt mode, i.e. One must scroll entire post to see another.
