Awesome starter theme

This is one of the best free “starter” themes I’ve come across. It’s coded well, is feature-rich without bloat and looks fantastic. I usually build my themes from scratch, but when I don’t I find myself using Make often. It’s one of my favorites and the fact it’s free is incredible.

I love to work with the MAKE- theme!
Of course if many things can be adjusted, it takes a while to work yourself through it…
But a unique and personalized website is the result!
Also the support is extremely helpful!
And last but not least it is for free!

I’ve been very pleased with the Make theme. I’m using it on three very different websites, with three very different looks and functions, to a great result.
What I like most about working with Make is how well commented and documented the theme is. For a developer, this is a dream. It allows me a stable, beautiful launchpad, and lets me focus on customizing every little detail of the look and feel without having to get rid of a million UI images, rework color schemes, and so forth. A great jumping off point – similar to genesis and headway in its versatility. The best things about Make? Great support, the lightweight, valid code and free price tag.

I wish that I could edit my original review below, or just delete it. I had some major frustrations that have been worked out by the lovely staff at Theme Foundry. I went from loving the Make theme to being disappointed and now Im back to loving it!
It simply is an amazing theme once you play around in the customizer, it looks great with the colour scheme and the builder templates are great!

Why does the screen grab look nothing like the preview website? I was impressed with the screen grab and then let down once I viewed the preview.

El tema make para wordpress es un tema con muchísimas posibilidades. La mayoría de temas sobretodo los gratuitos ofrecen muy pocas posibilidades y tienen un nivel de customización pobre. Make, permite construir look and feel extendidos sin tener ningún conocimiento de programación con resultados similares a los profesionales. Desde luego yo recomiendo su uso para probarlo y decidir.

The Make theme is perfect for one…
…if one likes Make’s minimal design approach
…if one is a website owners who needs a theme that just works
…if one is not a designer and not a developer (but they will like I too I guess) and
…if one doesn’t know how to build an advanced page structure and
…if one wants to fill it with misc. content.
Part of Make’s beauty is that it provides an intuitive and direct approach (in a way as Headway and other drag and drop themes and plugins do it too) but at the same time it doesn’t open an almost endless set of choices and settings which overburden an average user. A good example for this are the text columns one can insert with the Make Builder: there is a sensible choice for the number of columns and the choice to make one column wider; but one doesn’t to have to decide how wide each column has to be in % and what the margin, padding, etc. is. And that’s perfect! It’s a Make design pre-set that makes sense and makes sure that one gets a good looking site.
Make’s functionality can be extended even further with the Make Plus premium plugin. It’s not cheap but worth the price.
What makes Make outstanding too is the Make team. The Make guys provide an excellent and friendly support. They really care.
Make is a great theme and much more than that.

The teme is good – pro upgrade too expensive

I’ve been using Make for a while. It is excellent, and robust. The lack of Woocommerce support and other features will direct you towards a pro purchase which is logical. But, I find it to be too expensive these days with a $99 yearly fee if you want support and theme updates.
So if I use Make for a site that runs for 5 years and I want updates.. that’s $495..
Take a hint on modern pricing from the other market leading theme foundries.
