Bugs, snark and being ignored by support
By MechaWear, 2013-02-25
via wordpress.org
This team is more interested in writing cute jokes on their site than they are in helping you with their buggy theme.
Before you spend time installing and developing this theme for your needs, take a minutes to read some of the rude, dismissive comments from admins in the “support forum”, which might better be called a jeering peanut gallery (note they don’t allow users to add info and often close questions before any depth is established; part of their brilliant business model so you have to pay for support).
I’m not going to mention the names of other, better themes because I don’t want anyone to think I’m here to push another product. Indeed, I’m here to push ANY other product.
Mostly, there are better teams doing real work to create great products that you’ll feel inspired to pay for and donate to.
This group has entirely missed the point of the wonderful thing that is WordPress. Don’t waste your time and certainly don’t encourage their bs with money or use of their products.

Highly customizable, responsive, full-featured
By definitio, 2013-01-25

One of the most feature-rich, customizable, user-friendly, quality-coded themes out there, free and premium.
It’s got many, many customization options: for colours, text styling, post formatting and display, social media, special home page, custom CSS and JS code.
You would get more options that you would use and it can be fully customized right from the backend and without typing any code (if you don’t want to, cause you don’t have to).
Puts premium (commercial) themes to shame and sets new criteria for premium (quality) theming.
The only drawback I can think of is that, currently at least, it’s not easy to set a logo for the site! Totally paradoxical considering the generous supply of settings and the attention paid to possible user demands!
But under the current configuration images inserted in the header are forced to comply with a certain width/height ratio and take up the whole of the header area.
One can TYPE a logo (site title and description) and the theme provides all settings for customizing the look of that header text, but
the team should really put this kind of astonishing lack behind them.
Also, the Slider in the presentation page leaves a few things to be desired, doesn’t look as compelling really; I would much rather opt for a showcase display of posts per category.
I would also like to see some more widget positions, like content-top, content-bottom (above and below the content area, but underneath the header) and some compartmentalization of the header, to make it as customizable as the footer.
The theme is such a breath of fresh air in the WP-theme universe (especially considering it’s free) that the above remarks cannot really take anything away from it.

Could not make the slider display any images
By annaco, 2013-01-25

I was excited to download this theme. It seems very easy to setup. Uploaded pictures for the slider, and could not make it work. Then created posts for each image, and the slider will NOT display the images. It only pretends that it is loading and displaying the white image with a circle in the middle. Checked that many people have had this issue. Followed all suggested “fixes” all the way to editing the jQuery. I am installing on a new WordPress Installation – the latest one. Spent a whole day trying and reading support — nothing made it work. Great dissapointment with this otherwise very clean looking theme. Please recommend a similar one that works. Thank you.

Great theme and it IS responsive!

This is by far the best free theme out there. There are numerous options for customization right in the theme options. Other themes force you to create a child theme and make changes to CSS to change colors, etc., but Mantra includes most of those options right in their admin screen.
The theme IS responsive. I’ve tested it on my android and it shows up great.
This theme would easily sell for $50 – $100 on any “theme store” site, so this is a huge gift from Cryout Creations to the wordpress community. This theme actually has more options and features than many of the so-called “premium” themes out there.

It’s the best free template that I have found. It’s very customisable : you can change almost all what you want.
Besides you can export/import all yours settings.
Great work !!! Thanks a lot for your sharing.

Best free Theme I've Found
By Stokley, 2012-11-25
via wordpress.org
I was looking for a free theme that had a lot of the features that the expensive themes offered and Mantra has given me that and more. I’ve been able to set up a multi-page site that fits exactly what I was wanting without much fuss. There is a little bit of a learning curve if you’re new to using WordPress but that’s only because this theme can do so much. I highly recommend this theme.

Sorry guy, this theme isn’t fully responsive.
Please stop to push some seo keywords in your theme description.
