Best theme and best support.

I’m using point theme from last 2 years in the maximum of my niche sites. Loading speed is perfect & all the required options are also provided in theme setting. It’s the Best theme for bloggers. [ link redacted, please do not post links in reviews ]

Point theme From MyThemeShop is tops for me. Unbelievable support these guys are the best. I’ve seen other themes go down with wordpress update disasters …and the site crashes. No problems at all with Point theme. Superb support from MyThemeShop for customizations and tweaks with a few script codes easily added to custom CSS, which I did myself! My site is just perfect, loads incredibly fast. Fully responsive, and I’m starting to make some nice money with Google adsense.(Finally!) Don’t hesitate at all. Whatever theme your choose from these guys, they’re behind you every step of the way without compromise. I have one site I use Point on, a music news/blog style site, and it works very good for that. Clean, organized style with good functionality and customization.

Knocking off one star because when I tried it for a second site, the new “full-width feature” would not work, and if it did, it is page by page with no option to make it the default, meaning not only do you have to remember to do it every time you post, but you would have to change the error pages etc as well, a bit of a hassle.

But if you don’t need a full width site, I recommend it.

I’ve used this theme for the site of a friend, the theme has nice design but the author wanted to originality inside, which must put off more than one.
The negative Points are:
-The Menu, too on the side, too high, a menu called ‘classic’ or the navigation bar as on Twenty Eleven, would have been more appropriate, zone Ad, to put at the top-right place.
-Put the name of the category in the thumbnails on the homepage, it would have been better to put the category name, or the names of the categories, next to the date to the right
Not much to rework to make good competition to other themes and make more user of this theme.

I’ve been using Point for a few years, and generally like the way it looks. I can live with the frustration of it resetting all my widgets (other reviewers have mentioned this) each time I upgrade.

However, the upgrade to Point 2.0 has been a minor disaster. I assume there will be a quick upgrade to 2.1 to fix the mistakes they have made, but the latest version was certainly not ready for release.

Been with Point for a few years and it never happened to me that Point Theme may loose out it’s popularity in the market, but sadly to say, the latest release of version 2.0 might broke the spell.

It changes all the customizable core code naming convention, structure changes and took away some basic fundamental functions and etc.. Oh my, they should have termed this as a brand new theme rather that a Point theme upgrades.

Sincerely hope that the higher management could take a serious look at the issues and made the necessary steps to fix the numerous technical glitches and make Point V2.x the most success among the rest.

Hope to see the next update be a proper one!!
