This hurts more than it helps. It’s very poorly engineered and gets in your way. It also uses obsolete practices which take a lot of work to overwrite or improve upon.

    I like Responsive because it follows all of the expected WordPress guidelines. It has simple menus for changing out the structure and logo areas of the page. The home page is pretty easy to customize and the whole site will resize for mobile devices.

    with this theme jetpack subcrtiption widgets is making calls to https://jetpack.wordpress.com/xmlrpc.php?for=jetpack every page load, it slows page generation time to jetpack api server response

    The theme is very good. I am fairly new to WordPress but an old hand at web design and can make my own responsive layouts.

    I have been able to create several websites using this one theme in differing layouts due to its clear structure.

    Some people here say it’s basic, some say it’s too technical. I would emphasise that if you want to use the theme as is, then it would appear easy. However, if you wish to create bespoke sites, then the technicality is what you need.

    I am new to a wp and after exploring bunch of free and premium themes I decided to choose responsive for my first homemade website (still not online).
    The theme is so customizable, easy to work and edit, especially because of the custom CSS option. I do not know CSS and php, but thanks to a theme support forum I managed to change a lot of things.
    You should just consider adding some new stuff in theme options: favico, dynamic widgets, and such small things that are useful, so we can use them without plugins.

    Hi- I am new to WordPress and this was my first theme. Not only am I impressed with WP, I am impressed with Responsive. After working with it (and styling about every element you can imagine) I have to say that it was easy to learn. The two times I have had to use the forum for help I have had answers within a day if not hours!

    I can’t believe they can offer this Theme with Support for free. (Yes, I will be donating!)
