Really love using responsive as a starting point to build a resposive website!!
Using a child theme with it is super easy and works great.
The support forum is full of helpful users, and the theme author spends a lot of time helping others.
thanks

Very neat and stylish, but with some place for improvement :)

Theme is very eye-pleasing and has many options, which are easy-to-configure. I like the Widget areas at the top and bottom, of full page width. Luckily, there are still areas, which can be polished.

Only five stars? Should be more because Emil’s theme is magnificent! Easy to install. Easy to edit and super professional in appearance. I added a slider plugin and never missed a beat. What I found really cool was the Responsive Child Theme that kind of doubles a main theme. Without it when updates are released you would lose all of your previous work and have to start all over again from ground-zero. It’s priceless man priceless! Now here’s what’ll really melt your noodle, I am by no means a coder (but I get by), and I ran into a few situations where my efforts to customize my slider were getting me no where. The support that I received was not only blindingly fast, but, I never once felt like I was inconveniencing them, and when I say them I want to mention Emil specifically. When it comes to support he totally gets it. As great as the Responsive Theme is the support is even better. Great Theme plus extra great support… Thanks Emil you knocked it out of the park mate. I wish you only the absolute best

This theme is amazing !!!

Wow. I was expecting a bunch of headaches and hours of reading through code, but no. This theme is super solid and the theme support forum is beyond amazing. Those guys work really hard to help people working with this theme. I haven’t had this kind of support even with expensive paid themes from ThemeForest, etc. You rock! Thank you.

Amazing Theme with free and responsive support
By Ulrich, 2012-11-25

This theme is very good. The code is built well and the page load times are great. Test it for your self. I think one of the important things is also that this theme is translated into 40 different languages. It is also updated regularly with bugfixes and small new features.

Responsive is the first and the best WordPress theme to really do responsive design well. Emil is on the wordpress.org theme review team, so you know you’re getting quality work. Responsive is fast, secure, and looks amazing.
If you want an SEO friendly responsive theme with great support that looks amazing with very little effort, this is what you’re looking for.

really liked working with the theme
a minor point I noticed :
– using classes like .menu is an obvious naming but as it is so obvious it tends to conflict with any menu pluggin , using maybe something like responsiveMenu might more generic
