Out of the box I’m getting a pagespeed score of only 62%. Mainly because the full images on the homepage are loaded rather than the thumbnails, see http://i.imgur.com/dQtANvq.png

Posted this in the support forum, but after 5 weeks still no reply.

Switching to a different theme then and not recommending this one.

I love how this theme looks. It’s simple and clean and it’s easy enough to edit it to fit your brand. My only issue with the theme is that the front page was incredibly slow to load. It often took up to 2 minutes for all of the elements to load – and I didn’t even have much there.

I love this theme. My only complaint is I did not install it sooner.

Thank you to the developers of this excellent theme. I am using it currently for my portfolio and I found it easy to create a custom child theme and set up multiple portfolios using the tags as a filter.

I’m an experienced WordPress developer, and I noticed that the images can be tricky to work with – what I would recommend if you have trouble is to create a template based on where the theme crops the images, and then use that template for all your featured images. I did this by taking one of the sample images from the demo, uploading it to a post, and screenshotting where the image got cropped for different breakpoints. Then I assembled the template in photoshop based on the screenshots and created my “safe zone” where all the important image content falls into.

There are some nice fixes to things I wanted to change on the support forum, so I snagged those snippets – and it seems the developer is very quick to respond on the forums. I didn’t run into any trouble, but if I needed help, it’s nice to know.

Most of all – the page loads quickly (something great for a folio!), looks beautiful out of the box, and validates with all my favorite tried-and-true plugins.

One of the best themes i’ve found! Great for design portfolios, i liked the way it shows the posts, nice animations and transitions! I miss the possibility of adding a jquery category filter plugin, couldn’t get to work. I’d also like to be able to center the footer widgets.

Great theme! Love the minimalistic design and the flexibility and freedom at the same time. I had switched quite a lot of themes before settling with this one for my portfolio.
