Parabola

WOW! I have been doing Joomla web sites for a while, but decided to come back to WordPress to make my life easier (for my own blog). But one thing that’s always been a problem with CMS is either finding and/or designing a good looking, usable theme. This is especially true for free themes. Finding a good one is very time consuming, and designing one is both tedious and even more time consuming. So, I got LUCKY when I found Parabola! It’s a great looking theme with a variety of options, including having it’s own set of sub-themes right in the settings! I got a site that looked exactly the way I wanted (grey theme) in about a minute. It’s got a lot of tweaking options so you can really design something that looks the way YOU want it to, including multiple layouts, completely customizable colors, social media feeds etc. Very easy to use as well. My hat is off, so THANK YOU so much to the Parabola design team! You guys rock. This is easily one of the best out-of-the-box themes I have used. Period.

Really great theme. Works out of the box and even lets you change (almost) all of the settings you can think of.

This is a beautiful theme that is highly customizable.

I have only recently been introduced to WordPress, so a bit of a novice and thankfully I discovered the Parabola theme, after trying a few others. It is really very customizable to a great level and allows a lot of creativity. New releases (fine tunes) are being made on a regular basis as it’s finding its feet, like me! A really easy to follow “Settings area” and easy exporting and importing of settings made is a real bonus.
I would happily recommend it for a user with limited coding abilities who wants a great looking site!

This theme is being used to power a trio of related (creator/publisher/product) sites because it is quite simply very much a flexible theme which allows for a nice amount of basic customization, and of course tweaking via CSS, etc.

Cryout’s themes offer something you see only in commercial WP themes: detailed and tasteful customizability. Normally, one would have to hunt through hundreds of themes to find the one with the precise features and layouts that one wants: I found that I could use Parabola and simply customize it to my design needs. This is an excellent piece of work.

I switched to Parabola and could not be happier. This perhaps is the best free theme available for WordPress.

I’ve installed dozens of themes, you guys did everything right. You’ve made a user friendly theme that covers all odds and ends, down to hiding “Comments closed” with a checkbox. I’m sure I won’t be able to use any other theme after experiencing the fluid, professional, and easy to update feel of Parabola. ♥

Great theme and very customizable. Support can be a bit slow, but I recon these guys were busy running a couple of updates.

You can use google fonts easily which is a great plus.
