Beautiful and responsive wp theme.

This is my favorite default WP theme

I think TwentyFourteen is a good theme specially for magazine-oriented blogs, I am using it in my tech blog Discos Duros and I am quite happy with it. The design is neat and simplistic which is good to improve its usability. I like its double menu (vertical and horizontal) option which gives a lot of configuration possibilities as well as the three widget areas. The post/page layout could be wider but in general is a very user-friendly theme, so I recommend it.

Great design and layout but difficult to customize.

Very messy theme. The forced “side bar” is the worst. If this is the default theme for the WordPress, it should be more clean and more simple with some good simple options as a starting point for developers for example?

Me ha gustado este theme, sigue la linea de themes simples pero sigue teninedo su elegancia y es más que válido para algunos blogs. Me ha gustado basdtante la verdad.

Mi recomendacion es que lo pruebes en tu blog para ver si realmente te convence, ya que muchas veces no lo ves claro hasta que lo ves en tu blog.

I finally stuck to Twenty Fourteen and was able to build a very professional looking website using just the plain theme as it is without any customization capabilities as I used the free theme on wordpress.com looked so good.

A completely responsive theme.

An excellent point to start with WP.

Easy to use, responsive and The theme is designed with minimalistic style in mind

I started off with a new business of trainings and wanted to build a professional looking website. I have a strong eye for design and have strong techie background but I have no knowledge of programming using css,html etc. To build my site, I tried almost all the free templates that looked good in the wordpress.com domain. I finally stuck to Twenty Fourteen and was able to build a very professional looking website using just the plain theme as it is without any customization capabilities as I used the free theme on wordpress.com . The site looked so good, I got my first order for website development for a startup company !!!

Page text has a large white space to the left of the text pushing content right. With the large black verticle line left and the large verticle white space left it looks very bad. Sorry, but I have come here to see if wordpress is better than a website builder and after spending over 20 hours looking for templates and even trying to modify them with child themes I have come to the conclusion that website builders are much better value and easier to use.
