This is a very nice clean Knowledge base website. After some added icons and plugins I managed to build it out fast and use it to document WordPress articles I come across. Take a look here: Notebook KB and let me know what you think.
The onl thing I need to change is a menu bar that will stay on screen other then that a great design.

this is really a very good theme for knowledge-bases, educational sites and tutorials. But I think this still needs some work, especially for the support of child theme, home page etc.

I picked this theme because its free, and looks good and probably functioning well too, for others, not for me.
But the trouble comes when reading the documentation, and trying to implement it into website. No happening. Not that easy.
Just to do KB as a separate page on your website is not easy, because you working with a template.
All posts are displayed on front page, as well as KB page. If you want to hide them, you need plugin and or to play with code.

No child theme support, and it has been asked for this for a long time now.

Ill give it another go.
4. Don’t take me wrong, once you know how it works you will be fine, but its still not happening after 14hours trying to get some results.

Simple, elegant and totally competent KB

I have searched for the best Knowledgebase to use for my business. I have even tried hosting my own using different products that required me to have my own dedicated server. They were all too much effort to maintain, or the hosted ones were trying too hard to be something for everyone or, worse, too focused on social. This is for my employees. I don’t want all that, just a simple manual for how to run the business.
WP Knowledgebase is the easiest and most flexible of any KB I have encountered. And the support is unreal. I wanted to eliminate some of the default objects from certain pages and within 24-hrs I had detailed (and super simple) instructions for making them disappear.
I now have a true, online manual, for everything any employee would need to lookup to find answers to do their jobs better. Things are organized so easily and the search feature is fast and accurate.
I added a few simple plugins to back-up and add page by page, post by post security should I want to hide things by groups or individual employees.

Great for documentation

Easy to setup/configure. Awesome theme gets you up and running and documenting stuff quickly. Works well under multisite and even managed to get it to work with the content all private despite reading that this wasn’t supported. Thanks to the developer – hard to find a decent free theme for this purpose.
