I thought this theme was pretty neat and useful! It suited my website well, but it wasn’t very optimisable, so I ran into some technical difficulties there. Otherwise it got the job done.

Refreshing design – looks good even on widescreen displays

I really like the Flat theme. It displays perfectly on all sort of devices: smartphone, tablet, pc-display, ..
Unfortunately the theme didn’t scale well on widescreen displays. The developers helped me within 24 hours to get it fixed. Just add the following three lines of code to the additional CSS section in the WordPress-customization window (only available in latest WordPress version):
#page { max-width:100%; }
@media (min-width: 1200px) {
.container { width:100%; }}
I’m particularly happy that the developers helped me within 24 hours to get the issue solved. That’s great service!

Make a light version without the locks

I like the theme but am not going to use it. If you are going to make a free version of a theme, great. But don’t “lock” all the options that you consider upgrades in the Pro versions.
Add them in a document or a links as upgrade options.
It’s negative marketing. It feels like a “jip” rather than an option.

Love the theme, really reluctant to use another but wish I could get my sidebar on show all the time though! Maybe me, I’m a newbie to this.

Beautiful, breaks Shortcode Ultimate

I used version 1.3.4 for quite a while and could not have been happier. I fought off the subsequent upgrades, because I found the updated large navigation on the single page view is a bit ugly. I recently updated the theme by accident, and discovered it breaks the two Shortcode Ultimate shortcodes I regularly use, box and responsive embed. The style seems to be completely stripped from the box shortcode and YouTube videos still embed, but they are no longer responsive, causing them to extend beyond the boundary of the post in lower resolutions.
