Well, this is the best theme I ever saw. If I should judge just the theme without add-ons then it’s decent theme and you can make nice site with it. I can’t complain and I would recommend it amongst other free themes.
But the real killer feature is the pack of add-ons GP Premium you can buy just for 30 USD. It really makes this theme the jack of all trades. You can customize about anything with it.
The support is great and Tom is always nice and helpful. You can clearly see that this theme is really important for him and he wants to make it the best theme possible.

Another thing I like doesn’t really mean anything about quality of the theme but I like that it’s all about just one theme. I feel better using theme from developer who is focused just on one than from some site with 20 themes. But it’s just me…

I downloaded GeneratePress from your site, but when I try to install it, I’m getting a message that its missing a plugin. I’ve made a screenshot of it.
Any idea whats wrong?

I know enough code to mess things up – this theme is an absolutely amazing solution that is going to revolutionize wordpress websites. Having the ability to make all the changes from within an organized toolbar that requires no coding is phenomenal. The super fast response of the preview as you make changes will blow you away as well. I had an old 2011 theme that crashed on me and I was able to replicate the basic look of the website within a couple of hours… and that is including the time it took to get acquainted with how this new theme operates.

So much help on line and today (Sunday) I had a query regarding whether it would be bet to us php or css coding (i’m a beginer) and within 2 hours I had my answer. Buy it and the entire add-on package.
Its really good and easy to use.

The photo used to show this theme is misleading. You cannot add a header photo – like the one shown – without buying a $5 plugin. I’m surprised that WordPress allows a photo of the Premium Theme to be used.

I tested countless themes before settling on Generate Press with the Premium Add-ons. I love it! It’s simple, versatile, and clean. For someone like me who is not exactly technically adept, there is an added bonus: the support is fantastic! Thank you Thomas Usborne for your quick and helpful responses.

This is the best WordPress theme find ever! An outstanding free theme, especially if you’re comfortable with basic styling techniques. An incredible premium theme when the add-ons package is purchased.
There’s no need to search for another!

Here’s why:
• Outstanding support from Tom U. (The lead developer) and his team respond in a timely and courteous manner. No request for assistance is deemed too trivial or a waste of their time.
• The support forum offers plenty of subject matter to find solutions for many issues without the need to contact support.
• The versatility and flexibility of the theme add-ons makes it virtually impossible to run out of styling ideas.
• The ingenuity of the add-ons allows for customization of page sections without direct re-coding.
• Bug fixes and performance updates are frequent and regular.
• Availability of pre-made child themes. Not 1, but 6! (At time of review). There’s a GeneratePress Child Theme available on the GeneratePress website.
They are: Exhibit, Freelancer, Forefront, Mantle and Statement. Each offers its own unique theme stylings and filters.
• No additional fees such as annual license renewals or the need to buy newly released add-ons. (How great is that?!)
• Tom and team members have pointed me in the right direction to pick up on the correct coding needed to complete modifications, not to mention going so far as writing specific code I wasn’t qualified to do.

It’s only been a month since using GP, however, the more I use it, the more surprises it reveals as how it can be used in ways that never occurred to me.

GP makes me wish that all products offered such satisfaction. It’s truly exciting to work on my current GP project!

I started to work in WordPress at first, and started to search themes. I saw in top “Popular” this theme and wanted to try.
At first, I didn’t buy add-ons, because I didn’t understand what the theme can do! But then, when I watched all addons possibilities at website, I wanted to buy! During my creation of my website, I had some questions. And support is awesome (3 times Tom helps me to resolve my problems). So fast support. Great support!
Theme – fast, flexible and easy to use! And, of course, amazingly good value for money!

I have a small shop and not so much experience in building websites and I have spend several days, weeks, looking for the right theme, then I found GP and my search was over. I bought the complete bundle of add-ons, well spent money. The theme is very customisable and comes with a lot of options, it’s easy to use, but I don’t think I have discovered all the possible settings yet. The support is great! Fast replies! I’ve now used this theme to build two websites and I’m really impressed. This is better than any other starter theme I’ve used as a base for development, and far better than many premium themes I’ve used.

For the first site I used the theme without any of the premium add-ons. The theme is well coded and the CSS is not bloated. You can create layouts really quickly and then customize your site using the many hooks the theme provides and by adding your own CSS, which is easy to override. The theme is very lightweight and fast.

For the second site I decided to pay for the premium add-ons suite. I’ve already made my money back in the time it has saved me. Changing colors, layouts and other options within the Customizer is even easier than overriding CSS rules. Most premium themes I’ve purchased in the past include overly complicated options panels for these tasks. Those options panels just leads to confusion down the road when it comes to website maintenance. Like it or loathe it, the Customizer is here to stay, and this theme integrates with it beautifully.

This will be my go to theme for WordPress development projects for the foreseeable future. Great job!

Solid theme, lots of built in adaptability, lots of scope for additional code or plugins and… the theme dev Tom even answers questions on the forum! Cwor!
Totally happy to purchase a few add-ons (each $5 / £2.90ish) – bargain!
I like that the add-ons also stretch across updates, versions of the GP theme. So I can pick this theme for an artists portfolio or for a shop front.
