I’m new at making websites, and GeneratePress showed to be quite flexible and easy to work with. To top it all, the support is just amazing. Thanks, Tom.

I’m a brand new WordPress user and picked the Generate Press free theme for my first-ever blog because it’s such a clean, attractive theme that’s incredibly easy for a novice to figure out.

I then purchased the Premium Add-On upgrade because the demo looked like it would add an amazing amount of customization, that I could actually figure out with my zero level of experience.

Downloading the Add-On was a major problem for this newbie. Tom (and another user also) were right there for me. It took a few emails back and forth to figure out that the problem is I’m a longtime Mac user who never uses right-click. Right-click is required in order to download this Add-On. Tom walked me through the simple process of programming my mouse in Preferences to allow right-click and boom it was done. Downloaded, installed, using the really cool Add-On features within minutes.

I can’t recommend this theme and this developer enough. The theme is very elegant and clean, and Tom’s a gem!

This is the first time I’ve spent money on a theme/plugins/add-ons. Been extremely happy. Had a minor issue, but Tom responded to my forum post within a few hours, and had a fix emailed to me within a few minutes, and I was back up and running.

Always nice to spend money and feel well supported.

This theme and the plugins are really great! At first I had problems finding colors – I’m really bad in designing stuff. But after some research I found a page which helped me choose the colors. It was coolors.co. Then after some experimenting I got a good looking color scheme up. A friend made a simple banner and with the background plugin it was easy to set the header background. I like the idea of not having to code anything as it makes things really easy. Also with the secondary navigation plugin I was able to put up a good looking off-site links menu.

Also the author of the theme and plugins was really helpful. For example my header messed things up on the mobile version. He gave me some CSS and within a minute or two everything looked great. He also gave me advice about plugins.

So all in all I find the theme was worth the money. Also I can use it for other websites aswell. Let’s hope the author will continue upgrading the theme for newer WordPress versions.

I normally don’t purchase plug-ins or add-ons but this one is definitely worth the money if you want to customize your blog!

I found out about generatepress watching a YouTube tutorial.
I got the gp premium add-on for $30, and so far so good.

This theme is the best I’ve ever used. No hassle, no overuse of bloated ‘easy customization’ stuff, it’s sane, practical, clean and very easy to customize with a child theme. It uses standard practices so you can use the plain codex documentation to work with it, while other popular themes are a pain to change stuff as you have to look for the specific docs. Even considering that though, the theme has awesome support from the devs, so it’s definitely the theme to go if you don’t want surprises (limitations/difficulties) down the track.

Support is very good, as well. Any questions I’ve had were previously addressed by the developer in the support forums on WP or developer’s own site.

A great theme that allows deep customization in the WordPress way. Instead of shortcodes, custom screens and stepping into plugin territory, you can use the customizer and meta boxes for lots of simple stuff.

If you want complex customization with a child theme, this a wonderful parent theme, with lots of hooks to add content just anywhere, very clear CSS that you can easily override without ids or !important, and very responsive support.

Paid plugins are cheap and they offer a real lot of options, but the free theme without plugins is already more customizable than almost anything you can find in the WordPress directory.

This theme is just what I have been looking for. Simple but brilliant for fast setup and great functionality for tweaking further. Great support! Highly recommended!

I inherited a mess of a site and needed to remake it quickly. This theme is very good, let me do what I needed to do to replicate the look of parts of the old site but with areas I can get to. I am not a professional WP or website designer, I am an old-fashioned print designer. I think the price for upgrading to the pro version is EXTREMELY reasonable, I hope the developer continues to add features, I would pay for those also.

You can use the free theme and get enough done for a fine site, but what I like is once you get into it and want to do more, you can for very little money and very fair usage rights–and that’s what gets you in the long run.

Definitely recommended!

I’m a recent Generate Press user and I liked it so well, I’ve applied the theme to three of my (8) websites, one of which is large and complex. Seems completely stable to me.

I added Site Origin Page Builder to the complex site and ran into a difficulty w/PB support on a CSS override issue, but GP support stepped right up and supplied the answer. They’re well-integrated with the most popular page building plugins.

Couldn’t be happier.
