Description by Author

The 2012 theme for WordPress is a fully responsive theme that looks great on any device. Features include a front page template with its own widgets, an optional display font, styling for post formats on both index and single views, and an optional no-sidebar page template. Make it yours with a custom menu, header image, and background.

I like the clean and minimalistic feel of twenty twelve

  • Really Nice By imath, 2012-12-25 via wordpress.org

I’ve been playing a lot with it lately. Congrats for this great theme.

  • Clean and nice theme By Li-An, 2012-12-25 via wordpress.org

I like the look of the theme. It’s modern and clean.

  • Mobile and clean theme By sdpate48, 2012-12-25 via wordpress.org

I tested twenty-twelve then jumped from mod twenty eleven since it was iOS,Anrdoid and Windows Phone 8 compatible. Sure there are issues but they seem tiny. Thinned up on plugins.

  • Elegance By cichlidae1, 2012-12-25 via wordpress.org

  • Useful starting point for some prjects By Nigel_vweb, 2012-12-25 via wordpress.org

More minimalist than Twenty Eleven. Good starting point….

  • Steep learning curve for me By cadfile, 2012-12-25 via wordpress.org

Didn’t like taking away some items that I counted on in Twenty Eleven like the “Posted on” function and taking away the 3 widget areas in the footer and the search box in the Navigation bar.

You should have made them optional for us to have or not – not just remove the code without a heads up.

Also not a fan of how hard it is to override the styles and colors of some of the CSS selectors like widget links and caption text. Even using !Important doesn’t always work.

Love the ability to use external image links in the media button to save on coding them myself but since I can’t easily correct the code that shows up it is a wash. The alignright alignleft classes don’t work in the RSS feeds so images look wrong.

The new REM sizing is hard to learn and seems to add to the size of css files but I’m glad to get the chance to learn this new standard before I have to use it.

I like the mobile first focus but really could use some tutorials and guide on how to create and edit my child theme to take advantage of the new gizmos in 2012.

  • Very clean and helpful for developers By heera, 2012-11-25 via wordpress.org

It’s clean and most probably I like it because it’s responsive and could be helpful for me to use it as a boilerplate to develop a responsive theme.

  • Great parent theme By Dave Drumm, 2012-11-25 via wordpress.org

I build child themes for most of my clients’ sites. Twentyten and eleven were good to build on, but the responsiveness and clean palette of twentytwelve make it my new platform of choice.

I wish it had a three column layout option, but beggars can’t be choosers

  • Useful By Ula Szczepaniak, 2012-11-25 via wordpress.org

I will be useful like a companies page
