AccessPress Parallax One Page Theme

This is a very attractive theme with clean codes.

It’s vitally important I can work with a theme that is easy to customize and personalise for my (niche music genre) use. I had no problems at all with the free version. Super easy to install, super easy to customize and a really nice finish and look. So good in fact, that I purchased the pro version. I had to make a small modification to the upload_max_filesize value in my .htaccess file before I was able to upload the zip file. After that it was pretty straight forward. The Pro version is awesome. There a really useful feature (one of many) in the pro version that lets you import a demo site (takes a few mins) and then you can change/modify the way you want it and saves you setting up everything from scratch – just what a non-developer like me needs. I was also unexpectedly contacted by the guys at AccessPress to see if everything is going ok (it is!). I expect the team at AccessPress had a lot to deal with since April 2015. Keep on going guys.

I’m just finishing up my site. So far so good and no problems to report.

I give the free version 4.5 stars. Even though the free version is amazing, if you want 5+ stars go ahead and buy the pro version.

Just a perfect theme with all functions I searched for.

There are so many options, that you must get the hang of this theme, but after you “get it”, it is a pleasure to work with it. It is extremely customisable and with a bit of effort you can create websites that look and feel completely different from each other.
I can recommend this theme – I think it’s great!

It took a bit for me to sort this template out, but The Access Press support team is excellent! I am pleased with this theme and this company.

The AccessPress themes are just beautiful. I had no problem with building my sites. I experienced great support with pretty quick response times. The only issue I’ve encountered, as many others have expressed, are long loading times for the parallax theme.

*I tend to be rather strict on using the rating, so don’t get discouraged about using this, if you like the looks of it.

Powerful theme PACKED with options. Friendly support, but it does take time to hear back. Part of this may have been due to an earthquake that hit their area. We also upgraded to the Pro version based on the great features of the free theme, however
We had two issues:
1)A lot of trouble creating a parallax background that showed properly without showing a white space while scrolling (discussed in a forum post) AND
2) The LOAD TIME that was close to 12 seconds for one of the sites we designed. When we did a test using Pingdom’s speed test tool our site was slower than 87% of all other sites that were tested. When we did a test using Nibbler there was a repeated non w3c compliant issue in the code. Removed plugins, removed parallax sections, lots of testing but the load time is still an issue.

We hope future releases offer options for page speed optimization, then this theme will be UNBEATABLE!!!

This theme looked like one of the best themes ever. However, upon looking through the options panel I realised you cannot change any of the content in the homepage, at least not in the free version. That Im the first to mention this in a review makes me feel that most of the 5/5 reviews are paid for….

One would hope that you can change the settings in the ‘pro’ version, but without even being able to change 1 thing in the free version (other than a few ‘tick the box options’) one cannot get the feel for the theme option menu, which is terrible for most themes, and not showing it isnt a good sign…

After a week of trying to get AccessPress to look into the Preview of this theme because there is a Responsive issue with it, I got nothing!

Also gave AP a link to a test site I built with a standard WP install and AccessPress Parallax theme. Not a single response. Zip, Zero, Nutta!

If they don’t bother to engage with a user that has found a bug in their theme, what chance have I got in getting any confidence in using any of their themes? Zip, Zero, Nutta!

This is a great theme which is why I decided to upgrade to the premium theme. I thought that with a paid theme you would be getting some type of support, but all they seem to do is give you excuses as to why they haven’t responded or just completely ignore your emails. I’ve been having problems with the premium theme. Most of them I fixed on my own by adding my own custom css codes. I sent several emails explaining in detail the issues that I could not figure out, but my emails were completely ignored. I went to the forums and and let them know that I had issues that needed to be resolved, and that it’s been weeks since I sent the emails, but no one was getting back to me. I received a response a couple of days later with an excuse as to why they did not respond and requested my wp admin username and password so they could fix the problem for me. It’s been about one month since I sent them my login details and they still have not done anything to fix the issue nor have they responded to any of the emails I’ve sent them. I even tried going on the forums again, but no one has responded to me over there either. A premium customer responded to me on the forum saying they had done the same thing to him. They completely ignored his issues and have not even bothered to respond to him either. I also tried contacting them through their live chat, but that was a complete waste of my time too. All I got was an automated welcome message. When I explained my issue no one responded to me. After some waiting, the live chat disconnected me due to inactivity. The only reason there was inactivity was because Accesspress was not responding. I tried doing live chat a second time and the same thing happened again. I am extremely disappointed. I feel completely ignored, and I’m being treated as if I was a free user. Accesspress, this is no way to treat a premium customer who has actually paid for your product. For this reason I will never purchase anything else from you. I will not be recommending you to friends and family, nor to my website audience. I will let them know to stay far away from you and purchase their themes with a company who actually values their paid customers and gives them support.
