Great theme
By Eric-Paul, 2014-10-25
via wordpress.org
Many thanks!
This theme is very nice with many options, easy to configure and free for my version, what else? :)Just for info, if you need page without sidebar, you have to make a new model page from blog-page.php and contact.php. And now i am happy

Novice but learning, very flexible
By BrianHealthyGreen, 2014-10-25
via wordpress.org
I have had no technical questions yet. However, after searching for hours for themes, this was the most flexible I found, especially free.
Thank you for all your work.
I would like to see it be updated and “Declare Woo Commerce support”. That may yet be a conflict I will have to deal with.

Not child theme friendly, very sloppy coding, fonts slow down the site
By DavidFraiser, 2014-09-25
via wordpress.org
The theme is written so that even if you’re using a child theme (as you’re supposed to), it overrides your child theme by adding embedded styles in the head section.
i.e. `<style type=’text/css’>
@media (min-width: 1220px) {
.container {
width: 1200px!important;
}
.menu-back .container {
width: 100%!important;padding-left:0px!important;padding-right:0px!important;`
The header itself … is a mess. HTML doctype, rather than HTML5, etc. 11 different Javascript files. 11! This is why JQuery was made, to be used as a library so you don’t have to call in a dozen different files. Between the JS and the fonts, it takes forever for the page to refresh.
Sad because there are some nice and pretty parts to the theme, but the underlying structure needs some work.

Evolve

None of the sliders or content boxes work I tried 2x to upload the content and pictures after I saved them. The pages they would go back to the original template. Just a waste of time.

Problem with theme
By najibulhuq, 2014-09-12
via wordpress.org
I think the theme has problems. I was having problem with customize.php for this theme alone. When I change it works fine. I’ve also had other errors in the error log:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '[', expecting ')' in /home/lonewolfhelp/lonewolf.missbizz.net/wp-content/themes/evolve/library/functions/customizer-class.php on line 84
Another user had the same issue in the following post:

Perfect and Easily Customisable!
By ShadowBomber, 2014-07-25

My first wordpress site was built using this theme. It was quick and easy to learn. I can confidently say my business site is the best looking site out of all of my competitors in town.
I might just continue doing this for spare cash

Evolve is awesome

Works great with all the plugins I have (except Meta Slider) but you don’t need it.
This theme is highly customizable in its Free version, I’ll try the paid version for more features.
You can dynamically change the layout of the pages, footer, header, and display different number of sliders.
Great theme!
