evolve is a multi-purpose WordPress theme that has recently been redesigned as a full responsive theme for all devices. evolve features 2 Header Layouts, a slick Bootstrap and Parallax slider with up to 5 slides on any page and a post slider for 10 posts per post category. There are a number of different slider and animated effects to move captions and images into position and then back out of frame again. Button and arrow navigation elements are shown on each slider, or slides can be automatically cycled through. Bootstrap construction makes it easy to change designs around because the theme is build on a grid-like system. Modify anything with the design, such as the logo, header, background, main colors used, and more. The FontAwesome icon pack provides Retina Ready icons that look terrific on an iPad or other HD device and at any resolution. Animate.css elements are included for slick CSS interactive effects which can be included on many different pages to create interesting animations. Infinite Scroll gives an unique loading of the blog posts. There are more than 500 Google web fonts which ensures almost infinite selection of just the right fonts selectable for headings, sub-headings and web copy in any size, color or style. Image thumbnails have attractive borders and an image zoom effect when hovered over. evolve is WPML, Polylang compatible and it's translation ready. Multiple blog layouts includes single column, two or 3 columns in a grid or a post with a featured image. There are 12 widget areas, four in the header, four in the footer and 2 in the sidebar. Add your own custom widgets to include new functionality into a page such as an improved opt-in box, featured posts, archives and more. Two widgets are included in the theme: Tabs (recent posts, popular posts and comments) and the Carousel slider. In order to get the word out, social media accounts are well promoted. Up to 11 networks are supported including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and Google+. Choose which logos to display at the bottom of each post and what size the social media icons should be. There are easy navigation elements like a revolving main menu where menu items rotate and highlight when hovered over, categories and tags are shown at the bottom of each post, a "back to top" navigation "up" arrow is shown on each page and breadcrumb navigation is also available to help visitors avoid getting lost in large sites. evolve also includes a contact page template with Google Map. evolve fully supports bbPress and BuddyPress. *** IMPORTANT: Please read the changelog.txt file for any important changes before you update the theme! ***

    Love the theme but on my android phone there is a blank bar at the top, and then underneath that blank bar is the admin bar. Both are equal height so it seems like there is a bug where the admin bar is being pushed down? It covers the logo and looks really ugly on mobile. I’m using buddypress but the theme says it is buddypress compatible.

    I really like the layout, and the easy to use features. It looks very professional with even a little bit time put in. If you want to make any changes to the CSS though, it can be difficult to find what you are looking for because the titles are different than many other themes. Overall, a really nice theme though!

    The look and the functions are nice.
    But it is not fully responsive.
    Unfortunately the functions sometimes are very limited (e.g. the post slider uses only post type posts – no costum post types are possible, length of shorted excerpt is fixed).
    And it is not or heavily possible to fix this using child themes.
    Use it like it is – or look for an other theme.
    I´m doubting, that this points are solved in the pro version.
    With update to 3.6.0 the layout by hoovering the main menu changed totaly – the updates seems often not to be compatible.

    No possibility to make full-width page without sidebars (I mean custom pages, not all the site). It was in earlier version, but gone now (in 3.3.0 ver.).

    And there no possibility to switch off any widget on different pages. It’s not normal for contemporary wordpress usability. It’s the main problem of this theme.
    I don’t know why they switched off this option in this version, because it was in previous versions…
    I guess it’s for there’s never a dull moment for customers…

    No possibility to remove RSS feed button from the top. And it would be great if developers add russian social buttons (as vk.com for example).

    No possibility to set the height of Parallax Slider.
    And you can’t set header, text or image as link. It’s not convenient that visitors can’t click on any place in head slider to get to place shown in it.

    No possibility to change font size of title at main page (it changes at all other pages, but not in the main). (It names “Post title font”).

    Some strange empty space between page title and main text.

    No possibility to change position of navigation arrows in Carousel slider. In earlier versions navigation buttons displayed different in Chrome and Firefox: at the top in Chrome, and in the middle in Firefox. But now it displays in the middle in all browsers.
    I show reviews in this slider, and it’s not convenient when navigation arrows baffle my texts.
    And there no possibility to set the padding or margin inside this slider – so all the text sticks to borders.

    I don’t know if it’s an issue of this theme, but it doesn’t show google fonts in Firefox and ie, just in Chrome.

    One good thing – they fixed menu rollover visualization.
    But one more bad thing in menu – in dark variant it’s too blurred. Seems like I have poor eyesight, when looking on that menu. Doesn’t matter which font I use – it seems awful.
    And in light variant – I don’t like background of menu. It doesn’t have smooth gradient. Just a visible line between two different colours.
    There is good gradient in dark variant, but bad font… omg…

    It looks nice as a whole. But that different issues make me crazy…
    I feel ready sometimes to go and make my own theme, just not to have a headache with this one…

    I wanted to buy full version in future. But I disappointed with it…(((
