DON NOT BUY
By beelee, 2016-02-18

This “theme” is a complete mess.
Despite of the Homepage you have to built every single page from scratch on.
The Demo-Pages are buggy: The “Portfolio-Demo Content” for example has wrong entered id’s – so the page does not scroll when pressing a menu point.
The Sticky-header jumps when scrolling to or from the top.
The Sidebar-Widget-Areas do not work on the portfolio page – the categories etc. are empty.
There is not one single page template available to choose from when creating static pages.
I regret that I spent money on this – I can not use it and now I have to start all over again with another theme. What a waste of time….

This is a great theme, it is what we have been looking for a long time. The option to have woocommerce is also a great option.

Great for beginners

I was a little unsure of the theme at first but after spending some time reviewing all the settings and options it was a pretty straight forward theme to use and customize. I really like the way the the sections are laid out. I can’t speak on theme support as I have not had to reach out for it yet.
My only concerns are:
1) The menu options are limited (e.g. unable to arrange external links) this seems to be an issue for others as well.
2) YouTube video only in the free version. As everyone knows YouTube degrades video quality a lot. Vimeo is the best choice.
All in all I’m happy with the theme and will be proceeding with the pro version. I may update my review after working with the pro ver.
Regards.

Great as a holding page

I use the theme on a site I don’t develop, just have one single word (site name) and a pretty background. Works great for this purpose. Free version only.

This theme is completely messed up. I lost a whole day just going round and round. Every time I edit one of the sections it keeps reseting them back to their original. It just doesnt save my edits…I cant believe you’re trying to charge for this….

Cool single-page theme but support questions went ignored.

Installed this theme and set it up for use with static pages instead of a single scrolling page. It worked perfect except for an issue that I noticed on small screen sizes only. Tried to get support for that and was told they don’t offer support for 3rd-Party changes (huh?). All of my questions after that to clarify the issue were completely ignored. Bummer, could have been a good theme. I just re-did my entire site with a whole different theme and now it works great. Sorry, one star only.

Will do more research in the future

Onetone is described as, a “one-page business theme based on Bootstrap framework and coded with HTML5/CSS3.”
What they don’t tell you is that one page is literally all you will be getting. You can’t call one page a theme in my opinion when you create a blog page and it defaults back to the ugly generic wordpress styling and all subsequent pages are blank and lifeless and require you to build them from scratch as all options you get/unlock are for the homepage ONLY.
But MageeWP did exactly that, charged $50 and to make matters worse, I paid for it.
Getting the front page video to play well with HTML 5 video took a bit, and required a plugin. There is a definite “snapping” effect that occurs by the horizontal navigation when you mouse scroll which is very obnoxious and the fa icons take a noticeable amount of time to “bounce” in giving your webpage a cheap, and amateurish feel to it.
Onetone doesn’t come with a built-in modal which seems idiotic on a one page “theme”
All of the reviews talking about horrible customer service are spot on. You need only look at the sheer volume of people asking for help and weigh that against how many have actually received any from MageeWP.
I’ll be sure to vet a theme and developer more rigorously in the future before opening my wallet. I am done with MageeWP.
